Client
25 years of partnership. Built to continually keep pace with the market.
MAKO Trading operates at the sharp end of derivatives. A global, London-based firm providing liquidity through options market making, where speed and precision are the product. When a move to a new office created the opportunity to expand, DAS Business Furniture was the natural partner. We added 74 OPTIMA BASE T7 positions alongside MAKO's existing BASE T1 desks, enhancing the T1 platform, not replacing it. One core desk. Multiple configurations. Consistent performance across the floor.

About the project
OPTIMA ASCEND T7
OPTIMA ASCEND T7 Configuration
The OPTIMA in T7 configuration is engineered for high-specification tower CPU workloads, a rise-and-fall large enclosure integrated into a full ergonomic sit-stand platform. Deployed here in 74 positions alongside MAKO's existing T1 infrastructure, the T7 extends the desk system without disruption, maintaining a consistent operational environment across the trading floor.
OPTIMA ASCEND T7 Enclosure
A large-format, rise-and-fall enclosure engineered to house tower CPUs, rising and lowering with the desk to maintain cable management integrity and equipment access at any height. Built for the most demanding IT loads on the floor.
Ergonomic Height Adjustment System
Height adjusts from 650mm to 1,250mm, supporting the full range of sit-stand working across long trading sessions. The integrated programmable controller allows traders to set and recall preferred positions, removing adjustment friction from the working day.
Service Slide
The worksurface slides forward to give direct, unobstructed access to high-level electrics in the upper cable tray. No downtime, no tools required.
DAS Management Rail
A continuous structural rail supporting Wishbone monitor arms and Contour personal power modules. Technology and power centralised at the desktop, keeping the work surface clear and cable routes disciplined.
Ergo Edge and Pull Grip
A full polyurethane edge runs the work surface perimeter for long-session durability in high-contact environments. Finger gaps between adjacent desks allow safe, unobstructed height adjustment during live trading hours.
Dynamic Cable Management Tray, Track and Risers
Structured risers and termination panels manage low-level power distribution across the installation: maintaining clean, compliant cable routes throughout the cluster layout.
Back-to-Back Cluster Configuration
Desks arranged in back-to-back clusters with full end panels, maximising trading floor density while delivering a consistent, finished environment across both new and existing desk infrastructure.
