When BP appointed DAS Business in November 2021 to supply workstations across their new offices in Canary Wharf and Aberdeen, the brief covered two desk types. By the time the project was complete, DAS had co-created eight, each tailored to the specific demands of its workspace. That evolution reflects why DAS was appointed in the first place: not as a furniture supplier, but as a specialist consultant on trader desk specification, IT and AV requirements, delivering a standard workstation that surpassed competing proposals on quality. Working closely with TP Bennett across eight floors in London and a simultaneous fit-out in Aberdeen, DAS delivered over 1,000 workstations supporting an equal mix of trader and non-trader users, while collaborating with BP and TP Bennett's sustainability team to ensure every product was manufactured and installed in line with both offices' Net Zero targets. Performance is earned. So is one of the largest net zero carbon office fit-outs in the UK at the time. Both fit-outs were delivered to Net Zero targets. DAS collaborated directly with BP and TP Bennett's sustainability team to ensure products were manufactured and installed in line with those ambitions contributing to what became a landmark project in sustainable office design.

DATUM Light-Trader — Trader and Non-Trader Configurations
The DATUM Light-Trader is DAS's height-adjustable workstation platform for financial and professional working environments deployed here across both trader and non-trader positions, specified with fabric privacy screens, Black-Ice desktop power modules, and Atdec monitor arms on the Management Rail. Starting from two desk types at RFP stage, DAS Business Furniture worked directly with the TP Bennett design team to develop six additional configurations, engineering bespoke solutions for the specialist workspaces that a standard specification couldn't fully serve.
Height Adjustable Full sit-stand adjustment from 650mm to 1,250mm, supporting ergonomic working for trader and non-trader users across all eight floors of the London office and the Aberdeen site.
Fabric Privacy Screen Integrated fabric screens providing visual privacy and enhanced acoustic separation at the desk — supporting concentrated working in open-plan financial environments without enclosure.
Black-Ice Desktop Power Module The Black-Ice module brings power and data to the worksurface cleanly and accessibly, integrated into the desk system without surface clutter or cable compromise.
DAS Management Rail and Atdec Monitor Arm Atdec monitor arms mounted to the Management Rail to support large-screen display requirements across trader and non-trader configurations, technology positioned precisely, without consuming desk depth.
