Control Room Instal for National Grid

DAS was first introduced to National Grid Hinckley in March 2011, through Wagstaff Interior Group. DAS has worked with Wagstaff on a number of projects over the years, and as a result they have come to truly understand the quality of our products and the exceptional after sales service we provide.
National Grid is the latest control room project for DAS, with as much design precision and quality of service dedicated to the project as with any high technology desking system. It has proved to be a great success.
DAS worked closely with National Grid to develop a highly specialised and personal solution, with a short deadline of just four weeks for the whole design process. Eight weeks to manufacture, test and install the new product as a one off production was completed with ease by DAS. The first mock up was engineered so accurately to brief, it was chosen as their final order.
The split-level desking and demand for simplicity was a requirement due to the nature of their work; three shifts of eight hours in a 24 hour day. With just two buttons the user can easily and quickly alter the desk in order to suit their different ergonomic requirements; not only to make themselves comfortable at the start of a shift, but to adjust their set up as necessary. The front desk and flat screens are positioned on a split-level desk, ensuring a comfortable working environment for all those who occupy the space.
The structural support of the worksurface and the cable management had to be specifically designed in order to meet the client’s needs. The desking was finished in a woodgrain laminate with a silver frame and dark grey nosing on the worksurface to match the existing National Grid desks.
